LEGO Ideas' next set is now up for pre-order, but you'd be wise to wait until next week to make the most of an offer that E.T. is confirmed to qualify for.
Pre-orders for 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial are now live for anyone who can't wait to get their hands on the movie icon on August 1. The set will cost £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99 for 1,226 pieces, and you will not be charged for the pre-order until the set ships out.
Note that unlike pre-orders for games, pre-ordering a LEGO set does not mean it will arrive on your doorstep by release day. It will be shipped out as normal on release day and arrive later. Pre-ordering a LEGO model just guarantees you a copy if it sells out, but it also serves another purpose.
Pre-orders of upcoming LEGO sets usually qualify for gifts-with-purchase, even if it means that the gift will be shipped out later in the year. This will be the case with 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and the upcoming 40912 Sea Serpent. The LEGO Ideas Castle model is confirmed to be the star of LEGO Insiders Day 2026, free with orders of £160 / $180 / €180 and over.
21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, at £119.99 / $139.99 / €129.99, isn't quite enough for the gift-with-purchase on its own, but will have you well on your way to earning it. Adding something at £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99 or more will net you the Sea Serpent, and if that something is available now, you'll get 40912 Sea Serpent sooner.
40806 Gingerbread AT-AT Walker is one such set, and it was quick to sell out around Christmas last year in case you want to grab the Star Wars decoration with plenty of time to spare.
Whatever you decide to do, now is not the best time to pre-order 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. That will be from July 7 until July 12, when LEGO Insiders Days are on. In the meantime, head to LEGO.com and add the set to your wish list to make the process that much easier on July 7.
