LEGO Ideas fan designer provides extra instructions for 21315 Pop-up Book

Talented LEGO builder Jason Alleman has provided instructions so that fans can modify Ideas 21315 Pop-up Book to be closer to the original fan design.

The latest LEGO Ideas set, 21315 Pop-up Book, is based on a project from Jason Allemann and Grant Davis. As he did for his previous LEGO Ideas set, the Maze, Allemann has produced a video tutorial showing fans how to modify the official set. In the original design that the fans submitted, the model featured a clasp. Here, the builder reveals how to build two different clasps – one of which uses only the bricks that come with the set.

Whenever a LEGO Ideas project goes through the process of becoming an official LEGO set, changes are made to make the model suitable for sale according to the LEGO Group’s design standards. Thanks to the versatility of the brick, dedicated builders like Jason can give fans the option of having something a little closer to the original build.
