LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera: Every major change from the fan design

Every LEGO Ideas set goes through some changes between the original project and the final look, and 21359 Italian Riviera is no different.

LEGO Ideas 21359 Italian Riviera has been officially revealed, based on the original project from fan designer Alex Sahli. Just like any fan-designed build, the LEGO Ideas team makes tweaks to the submitted design to improve quality, appearance, and profitability, among other factors.

While the piece count of 3,251 bricks is pretty close to the original project’s size (just over 2,900 pieces), there have clearly been some changes made to the set. Join Brick Fanatics‘ own Matthew as he breaks down all of the major changes he noticed with a first pass over the set, from a boosted number of minifigures to the very colour of the buildings.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
