LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box visual tour and gallery
LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box recreates an iconic part of British culture with details and unexpected features aplenty.
Inspired by the approved project submitted by John Cramp, LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box has now been revealed, confirming that the 1,460-piece set will be released on February 1 for LEGO Insiders or February 4 for everyone else for £99.99 / $114.99 / €114.99. Based on the British symbol, 21347 Red London Telephone Box sets itself apart from the rest of LEGO Ideas thanks to its scale and functionality.
While you wait for the launch of 21347 Red London Telephone Box, take a tour through the iconic model celebrating a classic era of phones, even though younger enthusiasts may not recognise it.
LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box details

The fine details in 21347 Red London Telephone Box include two styles of phones to equip onto the set, depending on which era you recognise the telephone box from. Measuring 30cm tall, 19cm wide and over 15cm deep, 21347 Red London Telephone Box’s details are recognisable whether you are extensively familiar with the symbol or have never visited London.
Inside 21347 Red London Telephone Box, there’s a light brick to provide some warm lighting to the interior of the telephone box and illuminate your conversations while you keep dry from the classic London weather – rain more often than not.
LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box stickers and prints

You might want to keep a brick separator handy and ready for 21347 Red London Telephone Box’s launch, as the set seems to be rife with stickers used for the phones and adverts inside the telephone box and the sign outside. These stickers are crucial to the design of the LEGO Ideas set though, and it’s going to be hard to say no to applying the various Easter eggs.
The street sign outside is a sticker too, but the crown symbol and telephone sign appear to be printed elements, so at least we can look forward to not applying a couple of these key designs. Either way, they might help to break up the building process of the 1,460-piece set.
LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box scale

Just as the original LEGO Ideas project proposed, 21347 Red London Telephone Box is decidedly not life-sized (good news for your bank account) but it is by no means minifigure-scale either. Those looking to combine it with a LEGO figure of some kind may have more luck with the likes of BIONICLE, Hero Factory and other constraction figures. Otherwise, 76257 Wolverine Construction Figure and the other superhero figures might be making a few calls soon.
There’s another benefit to this scale and it’s one that many probably wouldn’t have expected. Thanks to the change in the layout, there’s a space to hold a smartphone next to the phone box without overshadowing the model itself, while a hole in the wall appears to be perfectly placed for a phone charger. Depicting the telephone box at this size makes the model more displayable than a minifigure-compatible set too, whether you want to showcase it on a stool or a windowsill. (Other options are available.)
LEGO Ideas 21347 Red London Telephone Box location

While the name of this set and the real telephone boxes posits that the set is located in London, 21347 Red London Telephone Box’s street name lists the street as Brickmore Road in Brickston. There’s no location in London with that name, but it’s a fun LEGO detail that can be easily ignored (or hidden with a phone) should you wish to keep the model located in London as the street is otherwise convincing.
From its black fence with golden spikes to the ornate lamppost that appears to almost exactly match the original design, this is still undoubtedly a Red London Telephone Box, despite what the sign might suggest.
21347 Red London Telephone Box launches February 1 for LEGO Insiders or February 4 widely for £99.99 / $114.99 / €114.99. Click here to find out more about this upcoming LEGO Ideas model.

still so sad they decided not to include the red post box next to the telephone as in the original design…
It’s not like they only appeared in London, would Red British Telephone Box not be more appropriate?
