Every LEGO Ideas set retiring in 2024 and beyond – January update

Eight different LEGO Ideas sets are currently slated to retire in 2024, including the oldest crowdsourced model currently on shelves in 21318 Tree House.

With the last scraps of 2023’s retiring LEGO Ideas sets almost entirely claimed (there are a few copies of 21325 Medieval Blacksmith still doing the rounds if you know where to look), all eyes are now on what will be leaving the portfolio by the end of 2024. Eight different sets are scheduled to depart by December 31 – though they could easily sell out in the weeks and months before then – including the theme’s oldest and cheapest sets.

Those are not one and the same: the former is 21318 Tree House, which has been on shelves since 2019, while the latter is last year’s 21340 Tales of the Space Age, which rings in at just £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99. Both are due to retire in 2024 at the time of writing, along with 21327 Typewriter, 21329 Fender Stratocaster, 21332 The Globe and three more LEGO Ideas sets.

That would leave 21323 Grand Piano as the oldest LEGO Ideas product on shelves as we head into 2025. Every other LEGO Ideas set is then slated to be on the way out by the end of next year, save for this year’s 21345 Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera and 21346 Family Tree, which both have 2026 retirement dates as things stand. This schedule is all subject to change, however, so check back for regular updates if and when the LEGO Group gives things a shuffle.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

well, the Lego tree house of 2019 pretty much needs to be glued together in parts, as it falls apart so easily.

I bought it for my twins, and they lost interest in it very early as my memory has it falling apart due to being lots of one stud wide plates held together by nothing but optimism
