LEGO Ideas Star Wars brickfilm contest moves to first Fan Vote stage
With the January 13 closing date now past, the LEGO Ideas Star Wars brickfilm contest moves on to its first Fan Vote stage.
As previously reported, LEGO Ideas launched a competition in November 2021 for fans to submit their own short LEGO Star Wars brickfilms. The films had to be based on May the Fourth, Father’s Day, summer holidays/back to school, or Christmas/New Year, with the final winning entry bagging themselves a 75313 AT-AT.
Now that the January 13 deadline for entries to be submitted has been and gone, the contest moves on to its first Fan Vote stage. According to the LEGO Ideas blog, a panel of judges consisting of the LEGO Star Wars team, will select five short film entries in the following categories:

Overall coolness and originality: 25%
Most inspired details: 25%
Relevance to contest theme: 25%
Best use of LEGO elements: 25%
The chosen 20 films will then be put forward to a Fan Vote and four winners will be selected. The first Fan Vote is set to take place from January 27 to February 3, with the winners then moving on to the second Fan Vote starting February 10. The results of that stage will determine the final overall winner.
