LEGO instructions page suggests new set is launching soon

The online LEGO instructions database has been updated, suggesting that a new promotional set is finally preparing to launch soon.

40688 Trophy Award‘s listing on the online LEGO instructions page now features the full instructions for the promotional model, despite the build not yet being available for purchase, or as part of a deal.

Every other entry on the instructions page with instructions on the listing has been made available, is available, or was offered as part of a deal previously. It’s an odd occurrence and it could mean that the LEGO Group are preparing to finally release the trophy creation after it was revealed months ago.

Nothing is confirmed at the time of writing but the instructions at least reveal a better look at the included stickers, showcasing what the trophy can be celebrating. The options include a controller, a treble clef, sports equipment, labels for mums, dads, and friends, and two stickers featuring text for general celebrations.

It has not yet received a listing on the main storefront at the time of writing and further details of 40688 Trophy Award’s release date, price and piece count are not known at the time of writing. The instructions are now available, should you want to try building it before its release though.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Worst gwp this year. the majority have been really poor. Jules Verne looks good though. NInjago Temple freebie was lacklustre polybags, no Monkie Kid birthday one and let’s not mention the delights of the waterpark or the fell beast fiasco.
