First official images of two upcoming LEGO GWP sets

We now have our first look at two upcoming LEGO gift-with-purchase sets, thanks to images courtesy of the official Product Certification page.

Listings for two new LEGO gift-with-purchase sets for 2024 were revealed yesterday, with initial details of the promotional builds having been added to the official Building Instructions page. Now it’s the turn of the Product Certification page to deliver the goods, with the first images of both sets that are due to be available at some point this year.

40685 Water Park and 40688 Trophy Award follow yesterday’s reveal of 40683 Flower Trellis Display, with the upcoming latter GWP potentially arriving as soon as next week. It’s possible the two new models may then be dropping in April, once the next batch of promotional sets have been and gone, but that’s pure speculation on our part for now.

From what we can see, 40685 Water Park seems to line up well with previous rumours regarding the build. There’s a large water slide leading down to a main pool on the left and a pink flag, plus a smaller slide on the right. Also included are two child minifigures and a handful of themed accessories.

40688 Trophy Award looks to be similar in overall design to 2020’s 40385 Trophy, as rumoured, with the upcoming yellow cup featuring a brick-built winner’s ribbon, a red stand and a number of removable stickered elements.

At this stage we have no details of piece counts, release dates or spending thresholds for either 40685 Water Park or 40688 Trophy Award, but we’ll be providing updates as soon as we have any additional official information.
