Three LEGO gifts-with-purchase confirmed or rumoured for April 2024

A total of three different LEGO gifts-with-purchase will reportedly be available from April 1, but you’ll need to buy multiple sets to get them all.

April is right around the corner, and with it the launch of a handful of new LEGO sets, headlined by 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale and 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City. We already know at least one gift-with-purchase that will be accompanying them, but Instagram user itavixbrix reports (via Brick Clicker) that two others will also be available from April 1.

Provided this is no April fool’s joke, here’s a summary of the incentives the LEGO Group has up its sleeve to shop direct from Monday.

40683 Flower Trellis Display

Revealed today by LEGO.com Singapore, 40683 Flower Trellis Display is a 440-piece quasi-addition to the Botanical Collection that takes root in the same space as last year’s 40588 Flowerpot. While exact details of its availability have yet to be confirmed, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Australia says it’ll be free down under from April 1 to 16 with orders above $240 AUD.

Brickset reports that 40683 Flower Trellis Display will be free with all orders above £130 / $150 / €150 from April 1 to 16, which means it will stack with either (or both) of the other LEGO gifts-with-purchase confirmed or rumoured for April 2024.

5008325 Mimic Dice Box

The only LEGO April 2024 gift-with-purchase we know is happening for sure, 5008325 Mimic Dice Box will be free exclusively with 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale from April 1 to 7, or while stocks last. These yellow-boxed freebies are notoriously scarce (76269 Avengers Tower’s accompanying 6487483 Taxi sold out in a matter of hours), so don’t hang about if you want to get your hands on one.

While most of the model can be pieced together from your own parts, those printed eyes are going to be ridiculously difficult to come by (presuming they never surface on Pick a Brick), so this could be your one and only chance to secure the full LEGO Dungeons & Dragons experience without paying over the odds on the aftermarket.

40681 Retro Food Truck

Here’s where things get a little sticky. Brick Clicker originally reported that 40681 Retro Food Truck – a LEGO Icons gift-with-purchase initially available in January – would be returning from April 1 with purchases above £170 / $190. But they’ve since clarified in an Instagram story that the 310-piece model will likely only be free with 10326 Natural History Museum, 10312 Jazz Club or 10297 Boutique Hotel.

That means early adopters of 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale won’t qualify for three free gifts on day one, and that you’ll need to buy both the newest LEGO Ideas set and one of the most recent modular buildings to maximise the freebies available at LEGO.com in April. That’s if this rumour pans out as expected, anyway…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
