Fan-favourite LEGO throwbacks rumoured to return as July 2023 promos

Just in time for the July release of 10320 Eldorado Fortress, some more retro-inspired LEGO gifts-with-purchase are rumoured to be returning.

Thanks to a report from Brick Clicker on Instagram and YouTube, we now have a good idea of what the promotional gift sets for all of July will be. Aside from the recently-revealed 40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration and one other, all the rest will be returning promos from earlier this year.

So, let’s get into a list of every promo rumoured to be available with qualifying purchases on LEGO.com or in LEGO stores during the month of July:

40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration

Threshold: £95 / $100 (in Disney) Dates: July 1-9

Available on LEGO Disney purchases (not including Disney-owned properties like Star Wars or Marvel) of £95 / $100 this set includes an exclusive Mickey Mouse and a light brick. It’ll be available from July 1 through 9, just in time for the release of 43222 Disney Castle.

40580 Blacktron Cruiser + 40581 BIONICLE Tahu

Threshold: £200 / $220 Dates: July 11-15

These two promos from the beginning of this year were highly sought-after collectors’ items and just a great blast of nostalgia for any long-time LEGO fan. The BIONICLE promo was only available with purchases in a few non-licensed themes, so it’s nice to see that it’s now more widely available.

These two sets are available at the same threshold (£200 / $220) at the same time (July 11-15), making it a perfect opportunity for anyone who didn’t get them before. Or, if you’re planning on picking up 10320 Eldorado Fortress, the price is almost perfect to qualify you for these sets, giving you a triple dose of LEGO nostalgia.

40512 Fun & Funky VIP Pack

Threshold: £45 / $50 Dates: July 11-15

And look at that, you get even more value out of your purchases in this mid-July week. 40512 Fun & Funky VIP Pack is a great parts pack available at the low threshold of only £45 / $50. If you’re looking to make a big LEGO purchase, July 11-15 sounds like the days to do it.

40588 Flower Pot

Threshold: £130 Dates: July 21-31

Available only in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from July 21-31, this promo brings back the uniquely-designed Flower Pot from earlier this year. This one’s a pretty normal threshold of £130, although the set is a bit small.

40593 Creativity 12 in 1 Set

Threshold: £75 / $80 Dates: July 21 – August 6

The final gift-with-purchase is a brand-new one that we don’t know too much about. We know it’s rumoured to be available July 21 – August 6 at a threshold of £75 / $80, and that the name is reminiscent of 40411 Creative Fun 12-in-1, a promo from 2020 that also happened to release in July.

Bonus: 2x VIP points week?

As if that wasn’t all enough, the week of July 11-15 (the one with three promos running at the same time) is also rumoured to be a double VIP points period. According to Brick Clicker’s report, though, the 2x points will only be offered on Harry Potter, City, Friends, and Technic sets. Plan accordingly!

As always, take these rumours with a grain of salt until you hear anything official from the LEGO Group.
