LEGO Jurassic Park III looks to be back after 25 years
The LEGO Group’s Jurassic World reveal earlier today has seemingly confirmed the first Jurassic Park III set since 2001, and new minifigures.
An official Instagram story has lifted the curtain on a few LEGO Jurassic World builds, matching the names of some rumoured sets. While we wait to find out more about whatever these builds belong to (hopefully some official sets), the contents of one slide in particular remind us strongly of a LEGO Studios set.
While the current Jurassic World theme has yet to depict Jurassic Park III, LEGO Studios’ original line of dinosaur movie models briefly recreated scenes from the film 25 years ago. These two sets included 1371 Spinosaurus Attack, with the film’s main dinosaur as the star of the show. The distinct grey, brown and red colour scheme was recognisable in the moulded figure, and it’s plain to see that the 2026 Spinosaurus figure follows that design.

It’s strong evidence to suggest that LEGO Jurassic World is finally including the third film, and that’s before we go over the two minifigures at the bottom of the image. These minifigures match the appearances and outfits of Alan Grant and Billy Brennan from the third film, adding more evidence to the case. The original Studios sets only had original characters, rather than the cast of Jurassic Park III, too.

Jurassic Park III and the first LEGO sets based on the movie turn 25 years old this year, and we can only hope that these models are based on the film as they appear to be, and that they’ll be released in an upcoming set. We’ll report back as soon as we know more. You can take a closer look at these new images by clicking here.
