LEGO Jurassic World summer 2026 rumours: we’ve been here before

The first list of rumoured LEGO Jurassic World summer 2026 set names is here, and it sounds like we’re going back to familiar territory.

Building on an initial list of product numbers and prices that dropped earlier this week, BrickTap has now reported (via Unibricks) set names for what appear to be four LEGO Jurassic World playsets coming later this year. Among those are two dinosaurs from last year’s range that are still on shelves, what could be another buildable figure and – at least – the potential for a new variant, if not a new species.

Check out all the details below, but remember that these should be taken lightly until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.

77977 Baby Dinosaur: Pteranodon

Price: $29.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: TBC 2026

2025’s 76970 Baby Dinosaur Dolores: Aquilops.

Following the same naming convention as Jurassic World: Rebirth’s 76970 Baby Dinosaur Dolores: Aquilops, 77977 Baby Dinosaur: Pteranodon will apparently debut for $29.99 in the US (or $2 more than the Aquilops). That puts it squarely in the same category as its brick-built dino predecessor, although with no further details at the time of writing we’re still just connecting dots in a speculative manner here…

77978 Young T. rex Transport Truck

Price: $29.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: TBC 2026

The only set on this list that sounds like it could introduce a new dino mould, 77978 Young T. rex Transport Truck is also said to come in at $29.99 in the US. That price tag has previously stretched to dinosaurs like the Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor, so a smaller T. rex could fit the bill – and ‘young’ rather than ‘baby’ gives us hope that we’re not just looking at an update to the classic baby T. rex piece.

77982 Spinosaurus Dinosaur Escape

Price: $74.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: TBC 2026

The Spinosaurus as seen in 2025’s 76976 Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission.

The Spinosaurus made a triumphant return to shelves in 2025 in Jurassic World: Rebirth’s 76976 Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission, and it sounds like the LEGO Group may be hoping to get a little more mileage out of that mould straight away. 77982 Spinosaurus Dinosaur Escape will reportedly come in at less than half the price of last summer’s set, potentially offering a cheaper way to add this dino to your collection.

77983 Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack

Price: $99.99 Pieces: TBC Release date: TBC 2026

LEGO Jurassic World 79674 Brick Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission review 17 1024x683
The Mosasaurus as seen in 2025’s 76974 Brick-Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission.

Another familiar face from the last wave of LEGO Jurassic World sets, the Mosasaurus made its debut in 76974 Brick-Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission – but as the set name suggests, it was built from smaller pieces rather than dedicated moulds like its fellow dinos. The LEGO Group will apparently revisit exactly the same concept this summer but with a much higher price tag in 77983 Mosasaurus Dinosaur Boat Attack, so here’s hoping for a moulded Mosasaurus for something a little different…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Hopefully we will get our first official JP: The Lost World set with this baby Rex transport! I have a feeling the Spinosaurus set will either be the same mold or possibly a new head piece for the JP3 Spino, but nothing more. This Mosasaurus set in the name doesn’t say “Brick-Built,” so a molded variant just might be coming out! The Baby Pteranodon is almost definitely the same as the brick-built Bumby, Little Eatie, and Dolores style.
