LEGO Jurassic World T. rex skeleton rumoured for 2025

First details of a LEGO Jurassic World set rumoured to be releasing in 2025 have been revealed, potentially expanding on an existing model.

Following a relatively subdued 2024, the LEGO Jurassic World theme may be thundering into next year, with as many as nine new sets rumoured to be on the way. That would certainly make a lot of sense, especially with Jurassic World Rebirth due to hit cinema screens on July 2, 2025.

Beyond potential product numbers and vague release dates, little is know about the next wave of possible LEGO Jurassic World builds. However, the first additional details regarding one such model have now emerged thanks to reliable Instagram user fateful_04.

It’s reported that 76968 T. rex Skeleton will be a direct-to-consumer set launching in March 2025 for $249.99. That could be quite an impressive build indeed, one that would also expand on this year’s 76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T. rex Skull.

The 577-piece LEGO Jurassic World set arrived on January 1 and presented an exciting new direction for the LEGO Jurassic World theme to explore. Taking that model as a starting point and creating a full Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton would therefore seem to be a logical next step, potentially opening the doors for similar builds further down the line.

If the rumours prove to be true, 76968 T. rex Skeleton would also be the first LEGO Jurassic World D2C set since 2019’s polarising 75936 Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage, with the two models sharing at least some of the same dino DNA.

As usual, do take all of the above information with a prehistoric pinch of salt until such time as its officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.
