Exclusive LEGO The Lord of the Rings torsos coming to Minifigure Factory

You’ll soon be able to design your own LEGO The Lord of the Rings minifigure through the LEGO Minifigure Factory, but only in select regions and stores.

To celebrate today’s reveal of 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire, the LEGO Group is bringing a series of hobbit-themed torsos to the Minifigure Factory. The torsos will only be available online at LEGO.com in the US and Canada, while you’ll also be able to check them out in select stores across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and China. The LEGO Group has not yet confirmed a specific list of LEGO stores taking part.

The torsos are not exactly a shortcut to more Lord of the Rings minifigures, but they do stick to the theme of 10354 The Lord of the Rings: The Shire, which is Bilbo Baggins’ eleventy-first birthday party. One of the designs proclaims ‘no admittance’ on the front and ‘except on party business’ on the back, for example, while another nods to Bilbo’s age in three different colours.

These exclusive minifigure torso designs will be available for ‘a limited time only’, according to the press release, and should theoretically be live online as you read this (at least in the US and Canada). Head over to the online Minifigure Factory if you’re based in North America, and keep an eye on Brick Fanatics for a list of participating stores if and when the LEGO Group is able to provide it.
