LEGO Marvel set could jump in price thanks to Secret Invasion debut
The debut of Secret Invasion on Disney+ this week could potentially result in one specific LEGO Marvel set jumping in price.
Marvel Studios’ latest live-action TV show hit the small screen yesterday, with Secret Invasion focusing on Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury attempting to stop a Skrull plot to take over the planet. The six episode Disney+ series sees the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. teaming up with Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos as they attempt to uncover a global conspiracy by a group of the renegade aliens who were first introduced in 2019’s Captain Marvel.

Surprisingly that MCU movie only received a handful of LEGO Marvel sets, although that could change with the arrival of a sequel, The Marvels, later this year. One such model that was produced was 76127 Captain Marvel and The Skrull Attack, a 295-piece build that included minifigures of the title character, a younger Nick Fury and Talos himself.

The latter represents the only Skrull minifigure released to date and its rarity could potentially see the LEGO Marvel set jump in price. The now-retired 76127 Captain Marvel and The Skrull Attack can currently be picked up for around £20 on the secondary market, although that figure could change as Secret Invasion continues to play out over the coming weeks.
Skrulls were first introduced to the Marvel comic book universe in 1962 in Fantastic Four # 2. Known as being a devious race of shapeshifters, the alien invaders most often battled the Fantastic Four, although they were also major antagonists in the classic Avengers’ storyline, the Kree-Skrull War.
It’s not yet known if the Skrulls will survive beyond the conclusion of the Disney+ show or if Talos and his people will pop up in future MCU projects. For now, the first episode of Secret Invasion is available for all subscribers to watch, with new instalments of the series arriving weekly for the rest of its run.
