LEGO Marvel’s Groot takes root in the Botanical Collection

It turns out one of the latest Marvel models fits perfectly alongside the LEGO Botanical Collection, and you might be able to guess which one.

Reddit user Dakkard has shared a picture of their latest purchase, depicting 76217 I am Groot next to 10280 Flower Bouquet, 10281 Bonsai Tree and 10289 Bird of Paradise. Thanks to the natural aspect of the character, Groot blends in well with the organic models of the LEGO Botanical Collection, but seeing him displayed with these builds allows us to appreciate just how well they work together.

As Dakkard jokes, 76217 I am Groot could be seen as a member of the LEGO Botanical Collection, even though he’s not officially.

Still, this clever idea proposes that models outside of the LEGO Botanical Collection can be part of a display with them, opening the door for builds such as 21318 Tree House and 75574 Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls.

Notably, LEGO Avatar’s focus on the flora of Pandora makes it a good fit for posing next to the natural LEGO range, something which you’ll be able to do starting October 1, 2022.

Alternatively, you can pick up 76217 I am Groot and the entirety of the LEGO Botanical Collection on the official online store now, including the newer 10311 Orchid and 10309 Succulents.
