LEGO MASTERS Germany Season 3 is coming in summer 2021

LEGO Certified Professional Rene Hoffmeister has confirmed that LEGO MASTERS Germany is returning for a third season this summer.

Hoffmeister was on the judging panel for the second season, and he’s now teased the new series on his Facebook page, writing: “Soon it will start again. Over 2 million bricks and interesting challenges. Who wants to have some fun in summer?”

He’s also confirmed to Zusammengebaut that he will indeed be returning for the new season, which will air on German TV network RTL. LEGO MASTERS Germany was one of the first international exports of the original British competitive brick-building show in 2018, with a second season following in summer 2020.

The format has since spread around the world, from Australia and Sweden to Denmark, Poland and the US. And it’s showing no signs of slowing down: LEGO MASTERS France kicked off at the end of 2020, casting is currently underway for a second US season, and LEGO MASTERS Australia’s third season recently finished filming.

Nowhere in all that is any mention of a third UK season, but we can dream.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
