LEGO MASTERS UK Christmas Special new air date confirmed

Channel 4 has confirmed a new air date for the LEGO MASTERS UK Christmas Special, which marks the return of the competitive building show to British screens for the first time since 2018.

While the screening date for the one-off festive special was originally reported as December 23, it’s now set to air on Channel 4 on December 24 – or Christmas Eve – at 7.25pm UK time. The LEGO MASTERS UK Christmas Special will be hosted by comedian Nish Kumar, and judged by the LEGO Group’s Vice President of Design Matthew Ashton and LEGO designer (and LEGO MASTERS USA judge) Amy Corbett.

This is the first LEGO MASTERS UK episode since the Christmas special that closed Season 2 all the way back in 2018. In the years since, the show has travelled around the world, with international versions debuting in the USA, Denmark, Poland, France and Australia, to name just a few – but we’re still waiting on a potential full third UK season.

In the meantime, three pairs of contestants will face off in the festive build room, including singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her sons; comedians Alex Horne and Sophie Duker; and TV personality Scarlett Moffatt, along with her sister and father. LEGO experts Kevin Hall, Luke Reveruzzi and Emily Corl will be on hand to help out with the more technical aspects of building.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
