LEGO Medieval Town Square’s lore is deeper than you think
LEGO Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square is more than just a couple of buildings – and its lore runs deeper than you would ever guess from just the official images.
With a brand new 18+ set built to minifigure scale comes countless new opportunities for storytelling, something certain LEGO designers thrive on – including Henrik Rubin Saaby, the lead designer behind the newly-revealed LEGO Icons set. Henrik pulled back the sheet (quite literally) in Billund late last year for Brick Fanatics and other LEGO Fan Media, before giving us a guided tour of the set’s extensive lore.
Classic Castle aficionados will want to listen up here, not only for the re-emergence of another retro faction, but also for the stories that Henrik has weaved through each and every one of 10332 Medieval Town Square’s characters. They’ve all got a place here, and you can learn more about their roles in this slice of Middle Ages life by reliving the reveal in our latest YouTube video.
Hit play below to check it out, and make sure to watch ‘til the end for a crafty bit of animal showmanship from Henrik.
Subscribe to our YouTube channel for an even deeper dive into 10332 Medieval Town Square that’s dropping in the next few days, as we sat down one-on-one with Henrik to talk all things LEGO Castle, nostalgia and more.
10332 Medieval Town Square will be available to buy from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from March 1 for LEGO Insiders (and March 4 for non-Insiders). Head here for more images and info.
