LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71032 Series 22 available now

The latest blind-bagged batch of LEGO Collectible Minifigures is now available to buy online and in stores, with another 12 colourful characters comprising 71032 Series 22.

It’s the first in-house (which is to say, not licensed) line since 71029 Series 21 arrived a year ago. In between, we’ve had two series based on external properties in 71030 Looney Tunes and 71031 Marvel Studios – both of which were brilliant for their own reasons, but offered something completely different to the traditional Collectible Minifigures themes.

2022 brings us back to basics, then, with an eclectic mix of characters that pull from sports, history, sci-fi, the modern day and elsewhere. It’s also full of brand new printed pieces and elements that could prove versatile even beyond this series, which feels like the perfect excuse to stock up on multiples.

That makes ordering from LEGO.com a little more agreeable, given you’re completely at the mercy of the LEGO warehouse staff in terms of which minifigures you end up with. But really, you can’t go wrong with 71032 Series 22: all 12 look like characters we’d be happy to have in our collection, and who doesn’t want an army of raccoon people?

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
