Did LEGO miss a trick with the rumoured Patronus set?
A rumoured LEGO Harry Potter build offers some customisation options – but the LEGO Group might have missed a trick.
First reported via Reddit user FluffySky6, exabrickslegogo_ on Instagram claims that 76414 Expecto Patronum is coming later this year as the first Patronus buildable figure. What’s more, 1414FalconFan on Instagram added that it will include builds for Harry’s stag Patronus and Remus Lupin’s wolf Patronus, with minifigures for each character to match the builds.
Presumably, you’d have to pick between the two to display – and having just two to choose from seems limited. The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets are just that: three in one. Considering the scope of the LEGO Harry Potter theme, we’d have liked to see a few more Patronus options, perhaps the Wizarding World’s favourite number of four, one for a person from each house.

LEGO Harry Potter 76391 Hogwarts Icons – Collectors’ Edition included the ability to customise according to your house colours, while 31207 Floral Art offers three different designs and 15 more variations on top of that.
For Patronus options, including Voldemort’s snake, Dumbledore’s Fawkes, Luna Lovegood’s rabbit, or any of the other Patronus we saw throughout the movies would have made for some interesting variations. If the rumour that we will be able to pick between a deer and a wolf is true, it seems fairly limited to only be able to pick between two four-legged animals of a similar size.
Of course, we’ll need to wait for official confirmation from the LEGO Group before we know whether this set is on its way for sure. Until then, here’s every LEGO Harry Potter set rumoured and confirmed for the rest of this year.
