LEGO modular pop-up postcard Insiders Rewards review

Available at the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre are two sets of three pop-up postcards, offering a new and unique gift for LEGO modular buildings fans in particular.

Currently listed at LEGO.com’s Insiders Rewards Centre and redeemable for 1,650 points each are two different collections of three pop-up postcards. Don’t let the self-explanatory name fool you, though, these pop-up postcards are quite unique as far as LEGO rewards go.

Each postcard is themed around a particular recent set from the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection subtheme of LEGO Icons – one trio includes postcards based on 10312 Jazz Club, 10326 Natural History Museum and 10297 Boutique Hotel, and the other trio is themed around 10260 Downtown Diner, 10270 Bookshop and 10264 Corner Garage.

The outside cover of each postcard is a thicker, embossed and printed card featuring gold-coloured cross-sectional images of each respective LEGO set they are based on, whilst the inside features a pop-up image of the same set, again printed on high-quality card, with a featured background to the image and a themed card to write a note on, should you wish.

These are very well-made items that offer a completely new representation of some wonderful product imagery and even though you are in effect receiving mini billboard advertisements for products, these are lovingly created and really make for a nice little collection, particularly for LEGO modular building fans.

Each set of three is redeemable at the LEGO Insiders site for 1,650 points (UK version), which is the equivalent amount of points earned from a £200 spend at LEGO.com or in the LEGO Store, and that could otherwise be used to redeem £10 worth of discount vouchers from the same Rewards Centre.

And that’s the issue a lot of rewards currently available are up against – the option we all have to otherwise save real money off real LEGO sets, instead of pick up a themed, non-LEGO item like this.

It’s unfortunate because the choice for most invariably will be money off LEGO sets. But it is important to acknowledge the quality and care that goes into the creation of such rewards as these postcard collections as they really do offer unique and interesting alternative gifts for those who either have the spare points or genuinely want something different from time to time.

Sign up to the Insiders program today to start accumulating points on every LEGO.com and LEGO Store purchase you make and head over to the Insiders Rewards Centre to redeem those points for such items as these postcards, or money off vouchers.
