LEGO Nature Connects exhibit comes to the North Carolina Arboretum

The North Carolina Arboretum is hosting LEGO Certified Professional Sean Kenney’s travelling exhibition, Nature Connects – Art with LEGO Bricks.

LEGO Certified Professional (LCP) Sean Kenney’s touring Nature Connects – Art with LEGO Bricks exhibition has arrived at the North Carolina Arboretum, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA. It will be in place at the gardens until November 1.

Almost 500,000 bricks make up the 16 nature sculptures that visitors will find within the botanical garden. Models include a five-foot-tall peacock, giant dragonfly, bonsai tree and monarch butterfly

“Due to its size, uniqueness and magnitude, Nature Connects is a one-of-a-kind exhibit that truly appeals to all ages, groups and interests,” George Briggs, executive director of The North Carolina Arboretum, told Smoky Mountain News. “Artist Sean Kenney does a terrific job of bringing together art and nature using an iconic toy, the LEGO brick, to help connect guests with the natural world.”

A special map will show guests where they can find the LEGO statues, which can be enjoyed – as with the rest of the location – for free.
