The LEGO Group has clarified the arm colour of a new Boba Fett minifigure, after official images for the latest LEGO Star Wars set showed conflicting versions.
Newly-revealed today is 75455 Boba Fett, a 1,544-piece model of the iconic bounty hunter priced at £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99. The upcoming LEGO Star Wars set also includes a new Boba Fett minifigure that features the latest rangefinder element and has been the source of some initial confusion.
Official promotional material for 75455 Boba Fett appears to have caused some debate amongst the wider fan community, with digital render images seemingly showing the minifigure with light grey arms that match its torso, while lifestyle images depict what look like sand blue arms instead.
Fortunately, the LEGO Group has now confirmed that those lifestyle images are indeed incorrect. In a clarification, the company stated that the digital render images show the final, accurate design that will be released in the set, meaning that the minifigure will have light grey arms after all.
'The Lifestyle images of the minifigure are wrongly depicting the arms as blue,' states the official note. 'The color of the arms on the minifigure in the renders are what will be sold.'
It's worth noting that Boba Fett’s on-screen appearances did include both colour schemes across the original Star Wars trilogy. In The Empire Strikes Back, his undersuit featured sand blue tones on the arms and legs, while in Return of the Jedi he appeared in a more uniformly light grey outfit.

That update should settle any early fan confusion, with some initially unsure why 75455 Boba Fett and its accompanying minifigure appeared to follow different colour schemes.
With that correction in place, the new Boba Fett minifigure will now likely be considered one of the most accurate and desirable modern interpretations of the bounty hunter to date.
