The LEGO Group’s NIKE partnership has the perfect pitch
The LEGO Group’s new multi-year partnership with NIKE, Inc. has the perfect pitch for a promotional product and it makes almost too much sense.
The new multi-year partnership between the LEGO Group and NIKE, Inc. kicks off next year with the potential for products, events and more as part of it. We’ve already looked at what could come from the collaboration.
Excited by the possibilities, Complex Sneakers on X has envisioned what the first product of this partnership could look like. Before you get too excited, they make clear this is only a joke but it’s one that we could see coming to fruition in some form.
Their idea is for a pair of trainers resembling minifigure feet emblazoned with the NIKE logo, much like the minifigure head in the first promotional artwork for the partnership.
While this pitched pair of trainers or anything like them likely won’t ever be stocked on shelves, we wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar appear as part of the marketing when the partnership starts at some point in 2025. This might be in a video marking the start of the collaboration for instance.
Alternatively, minifigures could be printed with NIKE trainers in the future. Either way, any physical trainers available to buy as part of the partnership will likely resemble the many LEGO Adidas trainers released previously.
