40490 NINJAGO 10 is now listed on LEGO.com following their reveal as part of a June promotion. Whereas before the set would be available as a discounted purchase with orders over $85 / £85 / €85, the confirmed availability has now resulted in their own product page on the official online store.
The model, which contains three BrickHeadz of prominent NINJAGO characters for the anniversary, ditches the usual naming conventions of the theme’s sets. Under normal circumstances, it would have been called something similar to 40490 Golden Lloyd, Nya Samurai X and Firstbourne Dragon – but admittedly that doesn’t quite roll off the tongue.
Now that the offer is over, the remaining stock of 40490 NINJAGO 10 is available to purchase separately, or at least it is in the US as builders in the UK and Europe will be met with a ‘coming soon’ when attempting to purchase it. Americans can order the model now and altogether, the trio of builds will cost you $29.99 / £25.99 / €29.99.
We’ll let you know as soon as it goes live in the UK and Europe but collector’s of the figurines won’t want to miss out on these models. They’ll also count towards the current offers on the official online store in what might be the first example of buying a promotional set, to get another promotional set. These include 40486 Adidas Originals Superstar, which we’ve reviewed here.
