LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising Season 2 trailer revealed
The full trailer for the second season of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising has arrived, providing some context for many of the theme’s new sets.
The next season of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising is drawing closer day by day and now the LEGO Group has seen fit to share the full trailer for the season following various clips over the past few weeks.
NINJAGO enthusiasts will be pleased to see many characters from the first season returning including Sora, Arin and Wyldfyre. As teased, Lord Ras is back and aims to bring back legendary figures known as the Forbidden Five. Exactly who they are is unknown but they seem likely to be a subject of a future season or potentially an arc later this season.
Also spotted in the trailer is Egalt from 71809 Egalt the Master Dragon, more of Riyu’s grown-up form from 71810 Young Dragon Riyu and our first look at the animated version of 71812 Kai’s Ninja Climber Mech.
It will be interesting to see further context for these and the rest of the new sets when the second season starts later this month or next month for most of the world. It’s also been confirmed via a previous clip that the Elemental Mechs are returning in at least some form this season following their debut in some shorts too.
Rumours for LEGO NINJAGO later this year suggest that some kind of tournament is coming to the animated series, though these have not been confirmed. It may be that the Forbidden Five are related to this tournament, challenging the ninjas.
