More rumoured details for LEGO NINJAGO summer wave emerge

Detailed descriptions emerge for rumoured LEGO NINJAGO sets believed to be coming in the summer of 2024.

Thanks to rumours reported by Polish LEGO fan site Fanklockow, more rumoured details are appearing about the LEGO NINJAGO summer wave for 2024. In a piece of general information, the site reports that the Wolf Warriors will get a new colour scheme, believed to be kitted out in purple and red and some warriors will have transparent hand elements.

There are also some specific details rumoured for some of the sets, so let’s dive in…

71816 Zane’s Ice Motorbike

With the reports echoing earlier reports of 71816 Zane’s Ice Motorbike’s price of $9.99 and piece count of 84, the fan site reports the brick-built bike could have a mechanism with retractable ice blades. As the name would suggest, the set is believed to include a Zane minifigure in new tournament armour, armed with two katanas.

71818 Tournament Arena Battle

A more detailed description for 71818 Tournament Arena Battle suggests that it will include two movable duel platforms with play features like a rolling barrel and a trapdoor in the staircase. For decoration, the rumours state that there will be a large stone statue in the shape of a minifigure, which could be a depiction of aster Wu. Outside of this minifigure statue, there will reportedly be six minifigures, including Kai and Sora in tournament armour, Evil Jay, the Wolf Warrior, and exclusive versions of Tox and Cinder.

Interestingly, it’s also reported that 71818 Tournament Arena Battle is designed to combine with another rumoured set, 71814 Tournament Temple City, although exactly how is not yet clear. It’s possible there will be some sort of modular attachment, but that’s just speculation on our part.

71820 Combo Ninja Vehicle

This rumoured 576-piece set is believed to be able to split into four smaller vehicles, including Sora’s glider, Lloyd’s off-road car, and two motorcycles for Cole and Nya. 71820 Combo Ninja Vehicle reportedly also includes six figures: Sora, Lloyd, Nya, Cole (all in tournament armour), a Wolf Warrior, and a Wolf Mask General.

71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech

According to the rumours, 71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech will be the largest titanium mech to date, which tracks with earlier reports of the 1,055 piece count. Thanks to the size, the set is rumoured to be very posable, complete with dragon wings and a large sword. This sword element will apparently be a gold recolour of the new wing elements from 10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter. 71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech also should include a Cole minifigure in white and orange.

71822 Fire Source Dragon

Another record-breaking set, 71822 Fire Source Dragon is believed to be the largest dragon in the series, with a posable head, jaw, neck, tail, legs, and large wings. On its back, there is a throne-shaped saddle and a gong. The minifigures included are Kai, Wyldfyre, Arin, Lord of the Races, Jordan, and the Wolf Mask Warrior with new claws – which could be one of the examples of the new transparent hand elements.
