LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 rumours suggest new elements on the way

Further details have surfaced for the LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 wave, including new parts and recoloured LEGO Dune elements.

Adding onto earlier rumoured descriptions, Polish LEGO fan site FanKlockow has now reported further rumoured details on four LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 sets, believed to be coming to shelves on June 1. Until they’re officially confirmed by the LEGO Group, it’s worth noting that the details around these sets could be subject to change, so take even the existence of these LEGO NINJAGO models with a pinch of salt for now.

71818 Tournament Arena Battle

Back in March, 71818 Tournament Arena Battle was rumoured to have a description similar to 2015’s now-retired 70751 Temple of Airjitzu, offering a second chance for LEGO NINJAGO fans to get their hands on the set. Now, FanKlockow adds to its original description of two moving duel platforms with rolling barrel and trapdoor play features, reporting that there will be a large stone statue built in the shape of a minifigure Master Wu, although the details are not quite as accurate as a minifigure and it will be larger than a minifigure. The arena should be surrounded by two smaller decorative structures, with stickered tournament flags on the arena and central statue.

71820 Combo Ninja Vehicle

This rumoured 576-piece set was already rumoured to be able to split into four smaller vehicles. Now, we have more detailed rumoured descriptions of the four vehicles. The largest is expected to be Lloyd’s off-road car, with triangular front tracks, while Cole and Nya’s motorcycles should be almost identical. The fourth will be Sora’s glider and all four vehicles are believed to come in dark green with white accents.

71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech

According to earlier rumours, 71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech will be the largest titanium mech to date – and the latest details suggest that it will feature wings, made up of two blades and a great sword made from the same LEGO element as the wing from 10327 Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter, recoloured in gold. The main body of the mech will be black, with white arms and legs and gold details throughout.

71822 Fire Source Dragon

Another record-breaking set, 71822 Fire Source Dragon is believed to be the largest dragon in the series, now rumoured to feature. a large throne-shaped saddle with a gong, capped off with a wolf’s head. The dragon itself is expected to be red with gold details, including what’s believed to be a new horn element. The wings should be fabric with a flame printed on them, likely smaller than the dragon’s wings from 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale.

As well as the previously-rumoured minifigures, Kai, Wyldfyre, Arin, Lord of the Races, Jordan, and the Wolf Mask Warrior with new claws, there is also rumoured to be a new cast of the spiritual dragon made up of six pieces.
