LEGO Pokémon sizes compared thanks to treasure hunt
The LEGO Pokémon treasure hunt has revealed the sizes of every figure in the theme so far, and one is close to how big it would be in real life.
The LEGO Group and partners continue to release codes for the LEGO Pokémon treasure hunt, with the first week of codes recapped here. These codes not only give you a chance of winning a huge and expensive prize package, but also give you some free digital cards.
These cards depict the LEGO Pokémon figures in various situations. They’re worth checking out after you redeem their codes, especially as one has a hidden detail which reveals the exact measurements of every LEGO Pokémon model.

The Diamond LEGO Pikachu card has a spreadsheet in the background with the fictional height of the Pokémon in-game on the left and that of their LEGO version on the right, as well as each creature’s Pokédex number to sort the table. Using this data, we can determine just how accurately-sized all of the LEGO Pokémon launching next month are.
LEGO Venusaur

Venusaur of 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise measures 200cm tall in-game, while the LEGO model is only 20.54cm tall. That’s not surprising considering the massive size of the fictional creature, which would be as tall as two copies of 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V stacked on top of each other. LEGO Venusaur is instead closer in size to Bulbasaur, at 70cm tall in-game.
LEGO Charizard

Also from 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, LEGO Charizard is 23.058cm tall, while the in-game creature is 170cm tall. For context, that would be just 20cm taller than 10307 Eiffel Tower. In other words, it would be far too big for a LEGO set. LEGO Charizard is understandably closer in size to Charmander, who is 60cm tall.
LEGO Blastoise

LEGO Blastoise is the last of the trio in 72153 Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise and measures 18.13cm tall. In-game, the fully-evolved partner Pokémon is 160cm, or two copies of 43222 Disney Castle stacked. LEGO Blastoise is also closer in scale to the first evolution stage of this Pokémon, Squirtle, at 50cm tall.
LEGO Pikachu

LEGO Pikachu comes in 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball, and since the set comes with a display stand, we thankfully have the spreadsheet to confirm its height at 22.43cm. In-game Pikachu measures 40.6cm tall, meaning the LEGO model is around half as big as it would be if it were accurately-sized.
LEGO Eevee

LEGO Eevee is now confirmed to be 19.3cm tall, though since this build has no display stand, this measurement has been clear since its reveal. The Pokémon in-game measures 30.5cm tall, putting LEGO Eevee the closest in size to its in-game counterpart. You could also picture 72151 Eevee as a smaller-sized Eevee, as they can appear in varying sizes of at least 25.4cm tall in more recent games.
All three of these LEGO Pokémon sets will be released on February 27, with both 72151 Eevee and 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball up for pre-order now.
