LEGO has prepared its customer service team for calls about Jabba’s Sail Barge
The LEGO Group has prepared its customer service team to receive calls over a detail in 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge that the designer was ‘adamant’ to include.
If you’ve pieced together the latest LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set – which debuted for LEGO Insiders on October 3 and is available to all from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores right now – you’ll have already encountered a hyper-specific detail in the railing around the Sail Barge’s top deck. While there are clips all along the rail to hold it up, one such clip is missing from the front-left section.
That detail is actually accurate to the Sail Barge as we see it in Return of the Jedi, but if you’re not aware of that fact, you might just assume it’s an error in the instructions. That was the perceived obstacle designer César Soares had to overcome to make 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge as accurate as possible to the source material.

“Some consumers will assume the broken railing is a mistake and I actually had several loops about this with the packaging team, who were convinced that an element was missing there,” César told Brickset. “I had to reassure them that is how the model is supposed to be and provide reference material to prove it. I have no doubt some people will think it is an error and consumer services has actually been prepared to receive calls about it.
“People may receive extras of the reddish brown clip, in which case they can add it if they wish, but those extras are not completely consistent, so there probably will be calls. I was very adamant about adding it, as you can clearly see the damage there at the front in the movie. The broken railing towards the back is less prominent, so I compromised and really pushed to capture this detail at the front. It was surprisingly hard to achieve though!”
75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge is available now for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99. Check out our review of the set here.

Just include that info in the instructions as a bit of side text – problem solved
Those calling customer service will also have to insist the illustration in the manual is also flawed
If you’re spending £400 you’re obviously a fan, so is it unreasonable to expect you to check the source material before moaning to LEGO? Or is the average LEGO fan’s IQ in single figures?
missing piece is nothing- more fun they will have with unpopular breakable brown bricks ??
I now right Lego Peces go missing and you do not want that I love lego
