LEGO Sith Lord returns in Spider-Man: Brand New Day script reveal
Newly released script pages from Spider-Man: Brand New Day have seemingly confirmed the return of a LEGO Sith Lord.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Emperor Palpatine will appear in the latest Spider-Man instalment, once again in minifigure form. The character last appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the minifigure was seen being unpacked in Peter Parker’s new apartment following the events of that film.

Emperor Palpatine’s minifigure has quietly become one of the most unusual yet emotionally resonant continuity threads in the modern Spider-Man trilogy. What began as a background detail has gradually evolved into a subtle symbol of Peter Parker’s personal life across the films.
In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ned is holding 75159 Death Star at the exact moment he discovers Peter’s secret identity, cementing LEGO as an unexpected but effective storytelling device within the franchise’s early character dynamics.

Now, with Peter Parker erased from the memories of everyone who knew him, the minifigure remains one of the few tangible connections to his former life. It stands as a small but meaningful reminder of his identity, friendships, and everything he has lost.
Despite its narrative significance, the minifigure itself has endured surprisingly well across appearances, avoiding the kind of physical mishaps or damage that can occur, unlike one unfortunate recent example that did not survive shipping.
Subtle, odd, and unexpectedly emotional, the LEGO Sith Lord has become a recurring detail that fans would never have expected to carry this much narrative weight. It feels less a case of ‘somehow, Palpatine returned’ and more ‘thankfully, Palpatine returned’.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits cinemas July 31, while the three currently announced connected sets, 76346 Spider-Man Hero Figure, 76349 Spider-Man Prison Transport Chase, and 76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash, release June 1.
