LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog gift-with-purchase rumoured for 2025
LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog is rumoured to get its own gift-with-purchase later this year, geared towards the older 18+ audience.
The latest LEGO rumours suggest that there will be a LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog GWP available from September 8, 2025, according to Brick Merge, as reported by itavix_bricks and Brick Clicker. Brick Clicker states that it will be made up of 260 pieces and with an 18+ rating.
There’s currently no word on the qualifying spend for 40769, including whether it will be a minimum amount or hooked to a specific set. However, it’s worth noting that licensed theme-specific GWP would usually come alongside an anticipated set, like 5008325 Dungeons & Dragons Mimic Dice Box coming with 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, or 5009015 Cerebro coming with 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion.
While there’s nothing rumoured or confirmed for LEGO Sonic during that time period, we do have two upcoming releases coming in August, 77005 Knuckles vs. Dr. Eggman Egg Crusher Mech and 77006 Team Sonic Command Truck. Neither one seems big enough to warrant a specific GWP, and September 8 would be a little late in any case. Could this mean another Sonic release is on the way?
Only time will tell and we’re just speculating here, of course. With a few months to go until the GWP is said to become available, take all of this information with the usual pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.
