LEGO Space Collectible Minifigure Series for 2024 gets rumoured details

Early details about the LEGO Space Collectible Minifigure Series have surfaced online, including descriptions of all 12 minifigures.

There are three Collectible Minifigure Series rumoured for 2024, including one that’s now been officially revealed by the LEGO Group. Now, more details have surfaced about a second series, centred around LEGO Space, thanks to both childish_landino_chronicles and reliable Instagram account 1414FalconFan. With the set number and name of 71046 Space, details for the full range of 12 minifigures have been shared online.

This includes a robot human suit for tiny aliens, presumably with some kind of detailing that marks it as a robot and sets it aside from a regular minifigure. Next up is a ton of references to LEGO Classic Space, including a Classic Space robot, a retro Spacewoman (a female version of the Series 17 Space minifigure), a M-Tron redux, an Ice Planet redux accompanied by a Space Penguin (which we hope is as adorable as it sounds), and a mutated Blacktron.

There are also some more modern inclusions to update the world of LEGO Space, such as an alien in a UFO costume, a grey alien tourist, an alien insectoid, a modern astronaut character, an Orion minifigure including translucent parts, and a Space Nurse, complete with a pink Space Baby. This would be only the second Space Baby character, with a blue counterpart appearing in 71037 Series 24 earlier this year.

All in all, it’s a full cast for any space-based hijinks, including both human space explorers and aliens alike. It’s a nice balance between throwbacks to nostalgic LEGO Classic Space and new additions and tweaks to the theme. The price has also been reported as an unsurprising $4.99, suggesting that the upcoming series will cost the same as those that came before it.

Of course, all this information is subject to confirmation from the LEGO Group, so take it with the requisite pinch of salt for now. If it does prove to be true, however, it’s already shaping up to be an impressive line-up for LEGO Space fans.
