LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari 499P – Hypercar revealed

A previously rumoured LEGO Speed Champions polybag has raced into view in the sleek shape of 30709 Ferrari 499P – Hypercar.

First details of a rumoured LEGO Speed Champions polybag (or paper bag) for 2025 emerged last week, suggesting that the promotional model might buck the trend for the racing theme. While such builds are usually based on existing eight-wide versions of vehicles, 30709 Ferrari 499P – Hypercar is set to arrive ahead of any potential larger brick-built release.

Our first look at the LEGO Speed Champions polybag comes via online retailers JB Spielwaren and Lucky Bricks, with 30709 Ferrari 499P – Hypercar also having been officially confirmed thanks to the Building Instructions page.

Coming in at 62 pieces for €3.99 and due to launch on March 1, the LEGO Speed Champions set will arrive in a bright red colour scheme, with yellow and black accents, matching the look of the real racer. Stickers include the Ferrari logo and the number 51, representing the sister car driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi during the 2024 season.

As previously speculated, 30709 Ferrari 499P – Hypercar might potentially be hinting at a third wave of LEGO Speed Champions sets possibly arriving later in 2025. If that indeed proves to be the case, then the promotional polybag could be offering up a first look at a larger and more detailed version of the racer further down the road.
