LEGO Star Trek USS Enterprise (temporarily) sells out before its GWP

LEGO Icons 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D has debuted with a bang, going on back order and even briefly selling out.

Typically on the release day of a set with its own set-exclusive GWP, we’d sometimes expect to see the free gift sell out – but rarely does the set itself sell out before the gift-with-purchase. Yet that’s exactly what happened, albeit briefly, with 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D.

Currently on back order until early to mid-December in the UK, the US, and Europe, the first-ever LEGO Star Trek set was briefly marked as temporarily out of stock on the American LEGO store, even before the GWP ran out of stock. That’s now been updated to back-ordered until December 17, with orders still including 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod at the time of writing.

The demand is clearly there among Trekkies and LEGO fans, with reports on social media of the LEGO Store in Scotland’s Glasgow having a dedicated separate queue just for would-be Enterprise buyers. The staff also had pre-packaged bags of 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, complete with the three accompanying GWPs it qualified for, ready to go in anticipation for the crowds of customers.

If you’re yet to purchase 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D and are keen to get the first-ever minifigure-scale LEGO Star Trek set at the same time, now is the moment to get your order in while you still can. It’s very likely that the GWP and perhaps even the set could sell out over the weekend.

LEGO Icons 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D is available to buy now on LEGO.com and in physical LEGO stores for £349.99 / $399.99 / €379.99, coming with 40768 Type-15 Shuttlepod at no extra cost until December 1 or while stocks last.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.

The sale went live for me 5 minutes before midnight eastern, and I had already submitted my order 2 minutes before it was even supposed to be available(2358), but mine is still showing as being in the warehouse.
