LEGO Star Wars 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City retiring in December

LEGO Star Wars 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City is reported to be heading for retirement, despite having been released just last year.

A new list reveals the LEGO Star Wars sets that are expected to retire this December, which has been published by Rebelscum. The set in the list that elicits the most interest is LEGO Star Wars 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City. It was only released last September and is already due to be removed from circulation, despite larger sets usually getting a slightly longer stay on shelves. 75159 Death Star is a refreshed version of a prior set and is still available since its launch in 2016. It suggests that sales of the set have not been what the LEGO Group hoped for.

Using 2,812 pieces, 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City is a set that recreates key scenes from the dramatic third act of The Empire Strikes Back, including Han Solo being put into carbon freeze, Darth Vader making a revelation to Luke Skywalker and C-3PO being surprised by a Stormtrooper. With a pricetag of £299.99, it is worth fans ordering now, as secondary market prices may end up being significant.

Brick Fanatics Magazine Issue 1 reveals how to enhance the sizable set.
