LEGO Star Wars 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers is back again

It’s spent almost every week since its release yo-yoing in and out of stock, but LEGO Star Wars 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers is back once again.

Last time the perennially popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars set popped up on LEGO.com, it sold out within a matter of hours. You’ll need fast fingers to grab a copy, then, because it’s basically inevitable that it will soon disappear again.

The souped-up army builder nets you four 501st Clone Troopers and two vehicles, an AT-RT and BARC Speeder, for just £24.99. And while you’ll have to wait for November 9 for the LEGO Group to catch up with backorders, it’s a set that’s very much worth hanging on for, as you can find out in our review.

Best of all, the limit on LEGO.com has finally changed from one copy per person to two, so you can bulk out your 501st ranks twice as quickly. In the US, the limit is three per person – and it’s available right now, rather than on backorder.

The set is also now back on Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List – a collection of the best, currently available sets to purchase at LEGO.com, updated daily.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
