LEGO Star Wars 75455 Boba Fett review

Releasing August 1, 2026, with 1,544 pieces and one Minifigure for £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99, 75455 Boba Fett is the fourth LEGO Star Wars buildable character set to release, and so far the second largest and second-most expensive in the mini collection after 2023’s 75371 Chewbacca. Whilst Chewie released to mixed reviews, the two that followed him – 75398 C-3PO and 75434 K-2SO – markedly impressed with the level of detail and authenticity that they offered in a larger, display-orientated exploration of character.

And for one as popular as Boba Fett, pleasingly the same can be said with 75455. Here is a layered study of one of the original trilogy’s most iconic characters spread across a sizeable piece count, and delivered in a way that rewards the patient builders out there. Yes, that does also mean that 75455 Boba Fett isn’t the most compelling LEGO Star Wars set to build in places – specifically the first half of the model is a little tedious – but it does have its highlights, and it does peak towards the end of the process to still deliver an overall very satisfying build experience. Techniques used here are smart and mathematical in places (subtle too – you may not notice how clever some of the connections are at the time), and admittedly a little simplistic and uninteresting in others, but they all combine for a representation of Boba that very much scratches the most important itch for fans – how this thing looks.

Indeed, 75455 Boba Fett looks great. From the selected main pose (the legs are locked in but the shoulders have some up-down movement and the arms rotate and bend for some variety) to the proportions, use of colour and details included, 75455 Boba Fett offers up the coolest, meanest-looking buildable figure yet. We can’t say it matches 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors' Edition in ultimate wow factor, but it’s going to be more popular than that amazing build simply because, for the draw of the character, 75455’s appearance lives up to expectations.

That’s all 75455 Boba Fett needs to do – simply look the part. It’s all the character needed to do in the original trilogy, and it’s the same with this LEGO Star Wars set – so long as he looks as good as this, the rest can be filled in by the fans. Whilst we actually could have benefitted from a few more stickers in the set to add some more weathering to the armour and helmet, the way in which Boba’s entire outfit is captured in brick form is excellent, most importantly so with the shaping and contours of the helmet. Getting the headgear right in shape, style and size sells the overall look here, whilst other excellent aspects such as the blaster, jet-pack and cloth pauldron also contribute a great deal.

Turning attention to the included minifigure, who stands alongside a nice, printed plaque, the LEGO Star Wars team go some way to addressing previous issues held with this character, even if they don’t quite go far enough. After almost a decade, we have a Return of the Jedi-authentic Boba Fett minifigure, complete with printed grey arms and legs, red wrist gauntlets and a more weathered, orange-lined helmet print (having recently seen an Empire Strikes Back version of the character included in a ROTJ set, it’s a bigger deal for fans than you may realise).

Those aforementioned details are all exclusive to this minifigure, whilst we also enjoy a return of the cloth pauldron to complete the look. At the same time, though, printing on this version of the minifigure isn’t perfect – the torso is the same design as that of the Empire Strikes Back Boba Fett minifigure, with the gap in the satchels; when on screen (and indeed on the larger model) it is different, with no gap. Using the same torso also reduces the amount of weathering that should be apparent on a ROTJ representation of Boba, whilst the placement of the print on the helmet undoes what the recent ESB Boba minifigure originally fixed, and it now sits once again too high on the visor.

Of course, we’re nitpicking an otherwise much-improved design of a popular LEGO Star Wars minifigure here, and what is offered up matches nicely to the buildable model it stands next to. When it comes to being locked behind a £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99 paywall, though, you’d hope for the very, very best, which this minifigure version comes close to, but still falls short of.

Ultimately, your eyes will almost always be on the larger Boba included in 75455 Boba Fett – this thing looks great from any angle and is a worthy addition to any LEGO Star Wars or Boba Fett-centric collection. The price is in keeping with the other buildable figures in this line-up too, and doesn’t feel like too far off fair value for 2026 levels.
