LEGO Star Wars buildable Porg set rumoured

The latest new set rumour to be shared online that suggests that the LEGO Group will release a Porg set based on Star Wars: The Last Jedi later this year.

According to a rumour on Eurobricks from Sir von Lego, shared by Rebelscum, a LEGO Star Wars Porg set will be released later this year, similar to 75187 BB-8. The image above shows brick sculpted Porgs used during promotional activity for the LEGO Star Wars range, but with each of those models using 8,000 bricks, this rumoured set will be significantly smaller.

The cute critters were introduced in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as residents of the island on Ahch-To where Luke Skywalker is residing in self-imposed exile. So far, minifigure scale versions of the Porgs have been released in two sets – 75192 Millennium Falconand 75200 Ahch-To Island Training. Last September, when the LEGO version of the Porgs were first introduced, Brick Fanatics provided a handy guide to introduce the new creatures.

Remember that such information should be treated with caution until officially announced, or more likely just released to stores, by the LEGO Group.
