LEGO Star Wars May the 4th designer event coming to LEGO House

LEGO House is offering the opportunity to meet three LEGO Star Wars designers – and get your favourite sets signed – for this year’s May the 4th event.

LEGO Star Wars designers Jme Wheeler, Jackson Hughes and César Soares will all be making an appearance at the LEGO House in Billund on May 3 and/or 4. You’ll be able to meet them in person, ask them any burning questions and get them to sign LEGO Star Wars sets you’ve either managed to bring with you or have picked up at the on-site LEGO Store.

Jme’s LEGO Star Wars portfolio includes 75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama, 75338 Ambush on Ferrix, 75353 Endor Speeder Chase Diorama, 40623 Battle of Endor Heroes and 75357 Ghost & Phantom II, while Jackson’s first LEGO Star Wars set was last year’s 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama. César has designed more than 20 LEGO Star Wars sets, including 75331 The Razor Crest and 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama.

Jackson and Jme will be meeting fans and signing sets from 2-4pm local time on May 3, while Jme will return with César from 2-4pm local time on May 4. If you’re in Billund on the day, make sure to stop by the LEGO Square within the LEGO House to say hello.

75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama is among a handful of LEGO Star Wars sets debuting on LEGO Store shelves on May 1, as part of this year’s wider LEGO May the 4th celebrations. Buying it from May 1 to 5 – perhaps while at the LEGO House – will also count towards the trio of LEGO Star Wars freebies available for 2024. If you can’t make it to the LEGO House, the LEGO Star Wars design team is also performing a whistle-stop European tour for May the 4th. Check out the full schedule to see if they’re stopping anywhere near you.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
