LEGO Star Wars Easter egg spotted at Avengers Campus

Everyone’s favourite brick has found a way into the home of Earth’s mightiest heroes as a LEGO Star Wars Easter egg has been spotted at the opening of Avengers Campus.

The latest addition to Disney California Adventure has opened to guests, welcoming the Avengers to their own themed land at the Disneyland Resort. Included in the expansion is a ride themed to Spider-Man himself, aptly named Web-Slingers, that Peter Parker has made his own.

As with the popular Marvel Movies, the land contains more than a few Easter eggs, including the appearance of a familiar LEGO set in the Web-Slingers attraction. The very same Star Wars 75159 Death Star model that Ned and Peter were building in Spider-Man: Homecoming appears in Parker’s workspace.

Entertainment Reporter Germain Lussier spotted the reference and noted it on his Twitter account. It’s a small nod to a scene that has become an iconic moment for many Marvel enthusiasts, as the original model was destroyed upon being dropped by a shocked Ned. Thankfully, it seems he and Peter got to work on rebuilding the model before the latter moved to Avengers Campus.

You can see the set for yourself in the Web-Slingers ride as Avengers Campus is now open to all guests. Following the release of builds such as 71040 The Disney Castle and 75293 Resistance I-TS Transport, both of which are based on Disney theme parks, maybe we’ll one be seeing an Avengers Campus LEGO set too.
