LEGO Star Wars fans might be thinking too hard about Commander Cody BrickHeadz images

The first images of LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz 40675 Clone Commander Cody include something that’s puzzling fans if they think about it too hard.

In a long line of brick-built recreations of Commander Cody, an Australian Certified LEGO Store has revealed the first images of 40675 Clone Commander Cody, many of which contain a seemingly random rock. In both of the lifestyle images, the hole-studded rock is placed next to the LEGO BrickHeadz set, leading some fans to wonder at its placement.

Both on reddit and on Instagram, fans have pointed out the pictures of the rock, wondering if it has some greater significance to the character – perhaps meant to represent Utapau, the Star Wars planet where Cody received Order 66 and ordered the death of long-term friend Obi-Wan Kenobi. The planet itself is known for being rocky, so could the LEGO Star Wars team be trying to make shoppers associate the two? After all, 40675 Clone Commander Cody does include a translucent blue stud that’s meant to depict the hologram that Cody receives Order 66 through.

Realistically, it seems unlikely that the LEGO Group are using lifestyle props for anything other than accurately depicting the LEGO BrickHeadz set itself. Indeed, other sets from the theme also include other household objects, designed to give a sense of what the sets would look like on a shelf and offer a look at the scale of the builds, if you haven’t seen one in person before.

Still, LEGO Star Wars fans are having a lot of fun with the random rock appearance even before the set has been formally revealed, especially coming so soon after the Coruscant lamp post reveal in 75378 BARC Speeder Escape, also coming soon on May 1.

LEGO BrickHeadz 40675 Clone Commander Cody will likely retail for £9.99 / $9.99 / €9.99, and is believed to be available to buy from May 1.
