LEGO Star Wars 40675 Clone Commander Cody revealed

Official images of another LEGO Star Wars May 2024 set have surfaced online, this time revealing the next BrickHeadz coming our way in 40675 Clone Commander Cody.

Given the hype around this particular Clone Trooper’s minifigure debut in his Phase II armour in 2022’s 75337 AT-TE, it seemed like only a matter of time until we saw him added to the LEGO Star Wars division of the LEGO Group’s BrickHeadz collection. That time has now come, and 40675 Clone Commander Cody will be hitting shelves on May 1 alongside at least four other sets.

An Australian Certified LEGO Store has published the first images of 40675 Clone Commander Cody, who looks like one of the most visually complex BrickHeadz statuettes to date. His Phase II armour (as seen in Revenge of the Sith) is faithfully recreated here from top to bottom, including his orange visor, helmet grille and even a tiny trans-blue plate to recreate Palpatine’s hologram. (Is this the second LEGO Star Wars Order 66 set?)

While we only have an Australian price for 40675 Clone Commander Cody at the moment – AUD$15.99 – he’s likely to match other LEGO BrickHeadz characters at £9.99 / $9.99 / €9.99. He joins the newly-revealed 75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama and 75381 Droideka, along with the previously-unveiled 75378 BARC Speeder Escape and 75383 Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator, for release on May 1.

All of these will therefore be available just in time for this year’s May the 4th promotions, presumably with this year’s UCS set (rumoured to be 75382 TIE Interceptor) and potentially another LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz set in the form of 40676 The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz Collection, which is thought to include Jar Jar Binks, Queen Amidala, Qui-Gon Jinn, Captain Panaka, Darth Maul and Anakin Skywalker. We’ll hopefully see images of that one – if it exists – very soon.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
