LEGO Star Wars keychain goes where UCS Sail Barge didn’t
A first look at an upcoming LEGO Star Wars keychain suggests we’ve found that droid we’ve been looking for since 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge.
Two certification documents have appeared for upcoming LEGO Star Wars keychains, 854312 R2-D2 Key Chain and 854313 C-3PO Key Chain. That suggests a full reveal confirming release dates and prices is likely not too far away, although those details have not yet been confirmed.

Although all we have to look at currently is two blurry images embedded in the document, that does seem to reveal that 854313 C-3PO Key Chain includes a dual-moulded leg for the droid, as seen in 2022’s 75341 Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder and 2024’s 75398 C-3PO.
The relatively rare minifigure is easily the most accurate version of Threepio at this stage, rather than the printed leg version that appears in other sets, including the UCS 75397 Jabba’s Sail Barge that also came out last year. While the hefty price tag of £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99 for the UCS set was seemingly not enough to include the dual-moulded droid, he will now be available in keychain form, if the blurry image above is anything to go on.

While that’s a far cheaper way to get Threepio in this form, having it attached to a keychain is probably not what most collectors were after. As it stands, the minifigure sells on BrickLink for an average of £18.44 if you’re keen to add him to your LEGO Star Wars displays.
