LEGO Star Wars magazine Issue 103 revisits a retiring set
The next issue of the LEGO Star Wars magazine is revisiting a retiring set from a galaxy far, far away, delivering yet another recreation of a relatively obscure Republic vehicle.
If you’re in the UK – which is roughly a month behind the continent – the current issue of the official LEGO Star Wars magazine is numbered 101, and includes a miniature Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced. Over in Germany, Issue 102 is already on shelves, complete with a tiny 36-piece rendition of 75360 Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter. And the inside back cover has now revealed what we can expect with Issue 103.
Due on shelves in December on the continent (and presumably January in the UK), Issue 103 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine will include a tiny version of 75342 Republic Fighter Tank (h/t Promobricks). The Clone Wars model originally arrived on shelves in April 2022, and includes the first and only 187th Legion Clone Trooper minifigures, along with the most detailed Mace Windu to date.

None of those characters have appeared in the mag yet, and a 44-piece build of the same tank doesn’t necessarily indicate that they will. But it would be fun to have another way to amass an army of purple Clone Troopers in 2024, given 75342 Republic Fighter Tank is due to retire by the end of 2023 – and could sell out for good any day now. It likely depends just how many minifigures the LEGO Group has left over, though: the entire stock could well be allocated to the remaining copies of the set.
Either way, it’s another notch in the belt of what’s still a pretty obscure vehicle for Star Wars as a whole, but which has now received three separate minifigure-scale sets – and a brand new mini-model. Keep an eye out for Issue 103 of the LEGO Star Wars magazine in the new year to secure yours, and don’t forget to pick up Issue 101 for a tiny rendition of Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced.
