LEGO Star Wars magazine teases future free minifigure for 2024
Thanks to a sneak peek in the current UK issue of the LEGO Star Wars magazine, we know what minifigure will come for free in the next edition.
Immediate Media’s LEGO Star Wars magazine frequently includes free mini-builds and minifigures for readers to collect. The current UK issue, #103, includes a 44-piece Republic Fighter Tank in its £4.99 price, for example. Thanks to JediNews, who have shared some pictures of what to expect inside, including a sneak peek at the upcoming issue.
That reveals that issue #104 will include the Mandalorian Pilot minifigure seen in 75348 Mandalorian Fang Fighter vs TIE Interceptor alongside Din Djarin himself. Dressed in bright blue armour, with dark blue accents throughout and coming complete with a rangefinder and pistol, ready for battle.

It’s worth noting, however, as we did in our review, that the blue helmet is painted on, just like for the updated Bo-Katan helmet in 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter. That means, even in an ordinary set, there’s some risk of the helmet arriving scratched. This is perhaps even more risky for a minifigure that comes free in a magazine, with magazines getting shipped and moved around far more, with slightly less secure packaging than in regular LEGO boxes.
If it does arrive unscathed, however, it’s an excellent minifigure to have in your collection. The legs are well detailed with all the trappings you’d expect from a Mandalorian Fleet Commander, with authentic details throughout the helmet and torso. There’s no arm printing but you can forgive that in exchange for the sculpted effect of the helmet around the jawline.

Issue #104 will be out in January, 2024 in the UK, costing £4.99 from most major newsstands and shops.
