This LEGO Star Wars metal card is cool, but good luck getting one now

The latest LEGO Star Wars Insiders Reward, The Mandalorian & Grogu Metal Card, is a high-quality collectible – but is it worth the Beskar it’s printed on? And does it matter if you can’t actually get one?

Available since the start of the now-ended May the 4th shopping event via the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre and currently marked as ‘out of stock’, 5010325 The Mandalorian & Grogu Metal Card is a UV-printed image of minifigure Mando and Grogu on an ‘antique silver electroplate’.

The size of a credit card but a few millimetres thicker, The Mandalorian & Grogu Metal Card is very nicely put together and a timely reward to pick up in the run-up to the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu at the back end of May. If it comes back into stock, that is.

5010325 The Mandalorian & Grogu Metal Card requires a spend of 2,500 Insiders Points, which is the same amount needed to redeem just under £16 off your next LEGO purchase. That number of points will have required a total spend (without considering double points) of £312.50.

Is it worth it? Well, the fact it’s out of stock at the moment at the Insiders Rewards Centre suggests as much, whilst it does fit very nicely with previous LEGO Star Wars gifts-with-purchase that have similarly offered something LEGO in a metal format. The stand is a nice touch, even if our review copy did arrive initially bent out of shape (it’s easily adjustable).

Sign up to the Insiders program today to start accumulating points on every LEGO.com and LEGO store purchase you make and head over to the rewards centre to redeem those points for such items as above, or money off vouchers. For more information on all things Insiders including how many points you accumulate on whatever amount you spend, and how much those points are worth, check out our FAQs page.

As one half of Tiro Media Ltd, I mix a passion for print and digital media production with a deep love of LEGO and can often be found on these pages eulogising about LEGO Batman, digging deeper into the LEGO Group’s inner workings, or just complaining about the price of the latest LEGO Star Wars set. Make a great impression when you meet me in person by praising EXO-FORCE as the greatest LEGO theme of all time. Follow me on Twitter @RobPaton or drop me an email at rob@brickfanatics.com.
