LEGO Star Wars meets LEGO Ideas in familiar custom model
A fan-inspired set concept from LEGO Ideas has crossed over with the world of LEGO Star Wars in a convincing, but custom, model.
21340 Tales of the Space Age, inspired by fan designer Jan Woznica, meets the original and prequel trilogies of Star Wars in a customised depiction of Brick.chain‘s LEGO Star Wars postcard creations. Considering the franchise’s ties to space, it’s an ideal crossover. One Reddit user has taken the crossover one step further though.
Redditor NC102A shared the results of their custom model on the forum, taking the simplistically detailed models to the next level by adding lighting, creating specialised instruction covers and a convincing box art design that calls back to the original LEGO Ideas set.

Custom LEGO creations and remixes of official sets are by no means new, though it’s rare that we see such projects taken to this level and you would be forgiven for thinking that this is a real set. While there’s no LEGO Star Wars postcard-style model officially, Brick.chain’s original models are based on 21340 Tales of the Space Age. The user has one more build depicting Mustafar that is not represented in NC102A‘s creation.

21340 Tales of the Space Age is available now for £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99 and you can read our review by clicking here. Those hoping to recreate the custom builds would be best using the LEGO Ideas set as a starting point.
