LEGO Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon receives extension for nearly a decade on shelves

An update to the list of retiring LEGO Star Wars sets has extended the life of several noteworthy models, including the biggest set in the theme.

Whether you’re planning to pick up 75389 The Dark Falcon or have yet to find the budget to purchase the huge and pricey 75192 Millennium Falcon, there’s good news. As noted on our dedicated retiring page, LEGO Star Wars enthusiasts have one more year to pick up several sets initially scheduled to leave shelves next year.

It’s a surprising update in the middle of August for the list of LEGO Star Wars’ retiring sets but it’s nothing but good news. The models that have had their retirement dates moved to 2026 have not swapped places with anything.

We should note that retirement dates are entirely subject to change, and they frequently do. There’s a good chance that at least some of these updated sets will move once more before they retire. Such updates could see their retirement dates move forward or backwards.

Of the selection, 75192 Millennium Falcon’s extension is the highlight as it could mean that the set will be on shelves for nine years. Here’s hoping it receives at least one more extension to bring that to double digits.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Brought this set as an investment for my then 9 year old son when it was released.after the retirement date being moved again and my son already turning 18 I have wondered what the point was and decided I no longer collect or build such sets. Stick to gold after holding for nearly 9 years it would definitely be worth the space it takes up

No, they will definitely be getting rid of it before 2027. That year will mark 50 years of Star Wars, so they’ll probably come out with something else as spectacular in that year to replace it.
